Thank You San Antonio!

Great weather, great events and great people made the 2008 NCAA Men's Final Four in San Antonio a huge success!

"People just had a lot of fun," said Tom O'Connor, chairman of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee that organizes the event. O' Connor gave "an A+ with a gold star" when asked to grade San Antonio as a Final Four host.

Jenny Carnes, executive director of the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee, said "the stars aligned for San Antonio Final Four weekend" with an historic field of four number one seeds, an overtime Championship game, perfect weather and a supportive local community helping set ancillary attendance records.

The NCAA saw record numbers at NCAA Hoop City refreshed by Coca-Cola, over 167,000 at the Big Dance and thousands more college basketball fans at other events offered to the public during Final Four weekend.

The San Antonio Local Organizing Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2008 Final Four experience.

The San Antonio community looks forward to hosting the 2010 NCAA Women's Final Four and the opportunity to host future NCAA Championships in the Alamo City.
